{PL Jan 13th-19th part 2}

This weekend my hubby turned 29! He always jokes because I'm one year ahead and I already hit 30, lol. I kept the colors on this side bright and cheery. I knew I would add the Birthday card I made him in the bottom right pocket so I let that lead the rest of my layout.

This polka dot tag was screaming birthday to me!

I am really in love with these asterisk stickers that came in my PL kit! So cute!

I put a little asterisk sticker on the 19th since that was his birthday :)

This is my daughter playing with my washi tape so I can scrap :)

Here is the birthday card. I did have to trim it down a little to make it fit better, but I would rather have it in here then throw it away :) I also slide my son's card he made behind this one. I'm meeting my goal to include more memorabilia!

This pretty much sums it up!! :)

{PL Jan 13th-19th part 1}

I chose my title card and that kind of lead me in the direction of this color palette. I wouldn't normally choose these colors on my own, but I love how it turned out!

My daughter is just loving lolly pops lately! q

I really enjoy altering cards!  I used my craft knife to cute the bottom of these hearts so I could tuck my photo underneath :)

I have a huge sequin stash!!! I am trying to use them any way I can!

This might be my favorite card because it is so true!! LOL

"Home sweet Home" and memories like this is why I do project life :)

{PL Jan 6-12th part 2}

Here is the second half of my week! I really love how it came together. I feel like I am finally finding my style :)

I think something important to remember is not to worry about mixing colors! I used a lot of color but I made sure to use it throughout so it still seems to flow.

I love these vellum stickers that came in my Jan PL kit from Studio Calico and those asterisk stickers!! LOVE!

This card is so me right now! I love to make nice things, but I still want enough sleep with two kids, haha! Notice I have it pointing at them ;)

If I have room I like to include a "designer" card. Just a card I can decorate and let my creativity flow with.

I love this heart card! It needed something extra so I heat embossed another heart and an arrow pointing at the picture of my kids.

This card was all about my daughter using a spoon for the first time so the "start" flair was perfect. I also tried to use elementary looking tape with the alphabet and the number card to give it that kid feel. One of my new obsessions right now is mixing enamel dots too! I love the way it looks.

"Shine On" a good sentiment for my daughter :)

{New Desk Love}

Well, My wonderful husband surprised me yesterday with the scrap desk of my dreams! I absolutely love everything about it. It's tall which is perfect for me because I like to stand when I scrap, plus it has a ton of storage! I can actually grow into this desk because I have left over room :) I got it at World Market half off and they are closing them out so if you want one head over soon! It was $189, but they took an extra 10% off because it was the floor model, yay!

 I was able to keep my storage cubes from Michaels! They fit perfect under my desk.

I love all the cubies for storage. Everything is visible which means I will use it! haha

There is still lots of room to work, more than I had before!

My Studio Calico PL kits fit perfectly :)

And my washi is thrown in this cute wooden box

I love being able to add decorative elements like this flower frog! It holds a card I don't want to get lost in my stash so I will use it!

I have little bowls of wood veneer everywhere! They are cute and functional.

I got these stacking boxes from Staples, they are Martha Stewart and are the perfect size to hold die cuts and odds and ends.

More bowls of goodies!

This is most of my Project Life stuff, easy to reach!

I threw my cutter in the drawer and it's easy to get to and hidden!

{birthday candles}

This is a quick card using my Studio Calico kit. I wanted to emboss the candles and they turned out cute! It has a little shimmer to it and the colors are bright and happy; perfect for a birthday! :)

{PL Jan 6th-12th part one}

Well, I'm back!! I took a little vacation and decided to just relax when I got home, but now I'm getting back into my scrapbooking and it feels great!! Soon I will start my Disneyland mini album and I will make sure to share it here! I'm sure that will take me quite awhile because I have 160 photos I want to include!

 I'm going to start doing my PL posts in two segments. Mainly because I'm taking all week to finish one spread and I want to at least blog more than that ;) So here is the first half of this week! We were still driving back from our vacation. The very first week of my PL isn't done yet because that was Disneyland and I have to decide how to include that in my PL since I'm also doing a mini album. Decision Decisions, lol.

I'm so in love with this color palate right now! I just love mixing in gold accents too :)

So I got some embossing supplies for Christmas and I'm still learning! I had to do this arrow twice and it still didn't turn out!

I love this heart paperclip! Shaped paperclips are one of my favorite embellishments!

I had these gold dots left over from Christmas and couldn't let them go to waste ;)

I don't mind including pictures that are a little blurry, like this one of my daughter. It's real life and I don't want to not include the moment!

Here it is! Gold again! I LOVE this doily!

This is part of the box the doughnuts came in :) My goal in 2014 is to include more memorabilia!
