{December Daily Day 11}

Whoo Hoo!!!! My sailor is home!!! This is by far the most important day in my entire DD album :) I got up at 3:30am and braved the crazy Seattle traffic to pick him up from the airport. We even got to share our excitement with people watching the morning King 5 Seattle news. I loved getting to document this special day in a special album. It's a memory to be cherished forever. 

{December Daily Day 10}

Today was REALLY cold!! So I went with that with my decorating :) I used the cute snowman from yesterday's see through pocket and a picture of the weather. It worked out perfect! Then Jaden had a little friend over for a play date and I wanted to include how happy that made him. Nice and simple! 

{December Daily Day 9}

This was a fun day of preparing:) I wrapped some of my mom's gifts and got those mailed and then did some shopping. We always play around while shopping, it keeps the kids busy. We found a display of Santa hats that we had to try! Of course my son thought the Santa hat was cute to try on, and my daughter, not so much ;) I thought that was true to their personalities right now and perfect to include in my DD. The snowman pocket is just a Martha Stewart sticker that was 50% off! I put one on each side and some confetti in the middle. A cute pocket for the 9th and 10th! 

{December Daily Day 8}

This was a relaxing day. We really didn't do much at all! A nice Sunday I would say;) It left me with lots of room to just decorate this day. I made a ribbon Christmas tree on the left and then on the right I used a picture of one of my son's favorite decorations. I filled one pocket with some wood veneer snowflakes and then used a picture of my daughter trying to put on a new pair of shoes she got. Simple and beautiful! 

{December Daily Day 7}

Today was all about making cookies :) I just love the pictures I got of the kids baking! Such a special memory. On the right I decided to add the recipe I printed out from Martha Stewart. I used my cookie cutters and my sharpie metallic pen to add the outlines of the cookies we made. Then I used a small picture of the finished cookies to cover a large white space on the paper. I love how it turned out! 

{December Daily Day 6}

This day I had a lot of memorabilia! I did our Christmas cards so I wanted to include one of those, my son did a cute little snowman paper at school I wanted to put in, and he also drew me a wonderful picture of us and our Christmas tree. Days like this remind me of what my December daily is all about! I know I will love looking back on these little pictures he drew. I also love I finally have somewhere to put my Christmas cards! I have a bunch of old ones thrown in a box, but this is much better:) 

I wanted to include one of the cute stamps I got at the post office:)  

{December Daily Day Five}

Today we went to see the Nutcracker with my son's school. I kept the little flyer about it and slide it in on the left, then placed that star overlay on it to dress it up. That's where I decided to put the number for today, right on top of the page protector. The journaling had to go on it's own card hole punched because I just didn't have room. I was only able to take a picture of the actual play with my phone and it came out pretty dark, but I'm okay with that. Not every picture we take can be perfect! I wanted to include it because the boys were on the edge of their seats watching the Rat King fight the Nutcracker:) A good memory! 

{December Daily Day Four}

This day was kept pretty simple:) It was just the kids opening the advent calender, a special memory and a simple day in December:) It left me with a whole side to decorate with my favorite piece of paper from my Studio Calico DD kit. I just stamped a little and added my favorite gold star sequins. 

{December Daily Day Three}

Day three came together pretty easy! I already had that "believe" pocket done because I did the other side first and then just did this one the same day. Then I knew I wanted a full 4x6 photo for the bottom pocket and decided to just add some embellishing in the corner. Next I wanted to use that "peace, love, joy" card and the girl holding the presents so that left me with 2 pockets for photos.

Under the "3" is actually a piece of our wrapping paper :) 

I'm going to try and deal with the "peace, love, joy" being backwards on the reverse side. We will see how that goes when I do day four!  

And this is my favorite pocket! One, I love that picture of my daughter kissing the bow, lol! Then I just love what I decided to do with that bow! At first I had it tied around the card and I tried to squish it into the pocket. Obviously I didn't like the look of a squished bow so I cut slits in the side of the page protector and tied the bow on the outside! I LOVE this and might be doing it again;) 

{December Daily day two}

So Far, so good;) I'm keeping up. This day was pretty simple. I included a picture of one of my favorite vintage Christmas decorations my granny gave me and some of my son enjoying the season. I also made a "clear" pocket! I haven't wanted to use letters on a clear pocket because them being backwards on the other side would personally drive me nuts!! So I backed the word peace with washi tape and repeated the same thing on the other side. I got my "see through" pocket without the annoying backwards word! yay! 

{December Daily Day one is done}

Well, I did it! I'm done with day one:) I hope I can keep this up! I'm loving this album already! 

This little tag from October Afternoon was a perfect place for my journaling:)

{December Daily Day 1}

Well, here we are! Finally in December:) I feel like I've been preparing for my December Daily for months and now I get to actually start on it! Today I'm going to share my cover again and my title page and day one page. I don't have day one done yet because it's only 9am right now;) I will probably post a day behind, but I will try and keep up with it all month! Enjoy! 

This is the inside cover:) Kept it simple, but true to the reason for the season! A good daily reminder when I open my album!
