{Home}

I love home decor projects! This is one I had in my head for a long time when I bought this cut file from Twopeasinabucket.com! If you're not familiar with the Navy this is kind of a tradition for us. We always make some kind of sign usually with wood that has all the places we've lived over the years. They can get pretty extensive! Ours in still pretty small considering my hubby has been in the Navy for 10 years! I hope to add many more destinations to this one and maybe even a world map;)

{Go Outside}

I love this picture of my son fishing on our boat for the first time. He just looks truly happy, exactly what a kid should be in summer. I used this photo as an opportunity to use some of my camping and outdoor themed products. I wanted the background to be pretty neutral so the beautiful colors in the photo would stand out.

I loved this stamp from my Scraptastic July PL kit. He really was "Happy, Happy, Happy"!

I also stamped a border of words that I got in my July Card Kit from Studio Calico.

Then I stamped this anchor using my gesso. It turned out great and added a little texture and dimension.

{Color Run Fun}

Here's a little colorful Project Life to start off your week! I didn't really need a lot of embellishing for this week in my PL. The pictures were very colorful and they just needed a little something here and there! This was an easy one:)

{A little Birdie told me}

I love making birthday cards! They are so easy and can be as colorful and fun as you want! I love how this card and these stamps seem to be made for each other. It's nice when things work out like that:)

{Best Friends}

I just love this picture of my son and daughter. Just seeing the height difference and knowing someday they will both be all grown up! I love how my son is looking down at her. I hope he always protects his little sister

{Product Review}

Some people were asking what type of gesso I used in my LO, {Hello Toes} so I thought I would share! I got this large tub of gesso from Michaels. It is a white acrylic gesso. I was able to use my 40% off coupon!! I got this tub and the little plastic spatula for $7!! It will last a long time so it was a great buy:) I think everyone should try gesso at least once!

{Hello Toes!}

If you're a mom you know how adorable baby toes are!! So doing a layout all about my daughter's toes seemed pretty natural. My daughter was playing with her toes at the park and I just couldn't resist taking pictures of them! I took a picture of a scribble a kid wrote on the playground that said, "hello" and incorporated that picture in my title. I also used gesso for the first time and I have to say I'm hooked!! It added such a neat texture to the layout. The tone on tone effect was inspired by Lilith's summer video series. Her videos are amazing so make sure you go check them out!

{Star Love}

I made these cute stars for my son and daughter's bedroom doors. I also re-purposed the package the star came in to get 2 stars for the price of one!! I love them and they look so fun hanging there! Enjoy!

The Star is from Close to my Heart along with the papers. This project was really easy and I was done in less than 30 mins for both stars!

First I taped down the template and started cutting out my star sides.

Once I cut out these double star sides I used my cutting board to make a score line down the middle.

Next I just glued them on and embellished!

To do the second star for my son I used the clear packaging the star originally came in! I like to get the most for my money;)

As you can see the packaging was a little too big for the templates, so in the end I had to use some washi tape to hide the sides.

Here they are one more time! I just love them!
