{The Pocket Source Blog Hop}

We at The Pocket Source are so excited to share with you today why we love pocket scrapbooking! Welcome to The Pocket Source's blog hop. You should have arrived from Monica's blog, now you can continue this hop by visiting Cathy's blog

This is my very first blog hop and very first design team! I'm so excited for everything I will learn from this amazing team at The Pocket Source. I just love the idea of having a community all about pocket scrapbooking! All of that inspiration in one place, I can feel myself getting hooked already! I'm most excited about the friends I know I will make in this amazing community. I know you guys will understand when I get overly excited about getting a new kit in the mail or trying a new set of beautiful cards for the first time ;) Take a look at my style and I can't wait to see what you post in the Pocket Source gallery!

I think the most important lesson I have learned in my pocket scrapbooking journey is to NOT pressure yourself! I started 2014 with a goal to stay caught up, but alas I have already fallen way behind! So I'm going to go with it :) No pressure here! Just lots of creativity and fun.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope I can inspire you as much as you guys inspire me! Now head over to Cathy's blog HERE! She has some amazing things to share with you.

You can visit The Pocket Source yourself here!

{Summer 2013 mini}

Do you ever start a project and never finish it? We never do that right?? ;) Well, I was cleaning out my hall closet and found a half done mini album from last year's summer vacation! All the pictures are in it and about 1/3 of it is actually finished! It looks so good so far, I couldn't leave it that way. The memories are still kind of fresh in my head and I want to get them down before they're gone. The whole reason we do these albums is for our future family to look back on. How would it look if we opened this album only to have 1/3 of our vacation documented. Before I will allow myself to start our Disney vacation album, this one MUST get finished. I'll share some of what is done so far and hopefully be able to share the rest soon! It's out on my desk starring at me so I have no more excuses to put it off.

The front cover is still undone, but I like to finish that last so it matches everything I've done inside and I use scraps on it :) I used a Simple Stories album with a green spine and a Kraft finish. I chose it specifically for the brown and green look; I thought it went well with our trip.

And now that this is blogged I really can't leave it unfinished!! You guys keep me accountable and bug me to see the rest ;)

{Becky Higgins Calender for my Filofax}

I saw this calender a few weeks ago and wanted to get it but didn't know where I would use it! Then, I got my A5! I knew I wanted new dividers and a cute calender so I went back to Michaels and bought it! It turned out so cute! I had to cut it down a little to make it fit, but it works!

This calender was VERY well done! It has lots of cute pages and lists, no space was wasted!

As you can see they are a little bigger than the normal Filofax divider. I just used the Filofax one as a guide to cut down the Becky Higgins.

Now, I don't have a fancy hole punch so I had to do then by hand. This will go MUCH faster if you already have a nice one.

Look how cute each month is!

In between each month are cute lists made specifically for that month ! I LOVE it!

And here are the weeks. There is one week on each page. It will be different to use, but I really love the way they are laid out! Plus it is a very heavy card stock so I can use any pen I want to :)

Our Filofax's are ever changing, but I think this setup might stick around for a while for me :) What do you like best about these calender inserts, I would love to hear from you! Happy Filofaxing!

{Filofax A5 LOVE}

I started my Filofax journey with the teal personal size Saffiano. I really love it still, but I realized I needed something a little bigger for my design team stuff, my business, and my family. So, I went on the search for an A5. I didn't want to spend too much since I wasn't sure I would like the A5 size. I was lucky enough to find this A5 Domino on Amazon for only $50! Well, I'm hooked! I love the A5 size and I see many more in my future ;)

I wasn't sure I would love the red color, but I do!! It feels so sophisticated :) I am really loving the band on the outside too! I can slip in papers I need right on top so I don't forget them.

The inside is a beautiful soft suede. I love how the red is peeking through the card slots too.

Here it is after I got all moved in!

There is plenty of room for my clips and anything else I want!

I used the open pouch that came with it to hold more sticky notes and some stamps.

I love decorating the months!

My planner charm is actually a purse clip from Grace Adele.
